2020 – FABLES, MYTHS AND MUSIC
The theme for our 2020 Musical StoryTime is Fables, Myths and Music. We’ll be featuring fables and myths from around the world like “Foxy!” by Jessica Souhami, “Lizard’s Song” by George Shannon and “Head, Arms, Body, Legs-a Story from Liberia” by Paye, Won-Ldy. And, of course, several new stories and poems by our Poet/Reader in Residence, retired Berkeley Children’s Librarian, Alan Bern. All is accompanied by music created by the performers, drawing from the musical traditions that match the stories. And, as always, the audience participates in creating the final story and composition.

whitey whites with yellowy yolks

Big Dog Bouncy is walking
walking along and hungry
eggs eggs yum eggs

Big Dog Bouncy is hungry
hungry for some eggs

Big Dog Bouncy is working
working in the big café
