Piano, Accordion, Teaching Composer
Jennifer Peringer is a pianist who is passionate about playing chamber music from around the world, with specialties in Latin American repertoire and newly composed music. She is a founding member of the Bernal Hill Players, for whom she has made numerous innovative arrangements of works by well-loved composers such as Manuel de Falla, Agustín Lara, and Astor Piazzolla. She also plays accordion with the Latin folk duo Chile y Limón. Jennifer’s eclectic background includes spending the 1980’s in London working as a multi-instrumentalist, musical director, and composer with several theater companies and bands, before earning music degrees from the University of London and San Francisco State University. She currently teaches piano, accordion, chamber music, and Latin jazz at the Community Music Center in San Francisco.
